PROJECTS
We support clients through every stage of planning process from application to appeal and will provide experienced expert planning witness services.
We have strong background in engagement with regulators working closely with local planners and statutory agencies across the United Kingdom, including the Environment Agency, Highways Authorities, Natural England, Network Rail, National Grid, and Scottish Environment Protection Agency, in the preparation of detailed planning statements and the presentation of case for the development at planning committee or at public inquiry.
Our planning services also include representations on development plan policy, Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, Development Consent Orders, neighborhood development, and local planning applications.

Over a 25 year period of Planning Consultancy we have built up an extensive range of projects and clients.
WPC works across a huge range of sectors with success. This includes major infrastructure projects and masterplanning, transport, roads, rail, energy and waste including nuclear new build and radioactive waste management, deep water ports, airports expansion, utilities and waster management.
Our clients are extensive and we work at all scales. We have particular expertise in strategic development, governance and business case (including Green Book Treasure Rules) with real first hand knowledge of projects, their life cycles and weighting of delivery risks.
ABOUT US
Walters Planning & Consulting is led by its Principal and Founder Andrew Walters.
Andrew is a highly experienced Town Planner and Environmental Lawyer with over 25 years’ experience working on an extensive range of project, policy, and Board commissioning both in the public and private sectors.
Andrew has completed tenures on multiple Boards. As a Board Member of Technical Advisory Boards (Committee on Radioactive Waste Management), NDA Research Board (Nuclear Decommissioning, Small Modular Reactors and Fusion), Transport Executive (Strathclyde Partnership for Transport), Technology and Integration (Nevis Technologies Limited) , his experience points to the support of commissions and projects, their form and pursuit of value propositions, operational direction, policy development, and environmental governance which when combined offer a powerful suite of skills and experience.
